KBK Flexible Suspended Stacker, also known as the suspended forklift, is a specialized equipment for high-rise warehouse applications, built using flexible modular components of the KBK suspended crane system (i.e., SKBK components).
It is designed for material handling in high-rise and multi-row dense shelving warehouses in industries such as machinery, electronics, and light industry. The flexible suspended stacker is easy to operate and can efficiently complete warehouse material handling tasks without the need for specialized operators.
The main standard components required for the flexible suspended stacker include: light rail straight track sections, suspension devices, trolleys and double-beam trolley frames, double-beam triangular connectors, lifting forks, suspended turntables, and electric chain hoists. The upper structure of the stacker is the same as that of a double-beam suspended crane. The maximum lifting and transportation capacity of the stacker is 500kg, with a fork lifting height of 4.15m. The lifting and lowering movements of the forks are completed by the electric chain hoist. The stacker runs horizontally in both the transverse and longitudinal directions, just like a double-beam light rail suspended crane. The forks can rotate manually 360° horizontally.
Since the stacker is suspended in the air with a small vertical footprint, the required width between one shelf row and the next is minimal. Typically, the width of warehouse shelving aisles is determined by the width of the material handling vehicle or the turning radius required for warehouse forklifts. Forklifts generally need aisle widths of at least 3 to 4 meters for material transport. In contrast, the aisle width required for the flexible suspended stacker is only 1.5 to 2 times the shelf width. For example, for shelves 800mm wide, an aisle width of 1.2m to 1.6m is sufficient.
It is evident that using a stacker as a material handling device in the warehouse can save a significant amount of storage space. Additionally, the stacker has no special requirements for the quality of the aisle floor.
